The Camera Club of Brevard was founded in 1980 by a group of local photographers to further their skills and interests in the photographic world. Today, the Camera Club of Brevard has grown to over 60 dedicated members. The members recognize photography as an art form and seek to enhance their photographic skills.
The Camera Club of Brevard presents monthly programs to its club members with topics that range from techniques, composition, lighting, to history and presentation. The camera club also promotes photographic competitions encouraging all of its members to participate. Competitions are held where photographs are judged for monthly, quarterly, and annual contests.
Photographic field trips to local attractions such as parks, historical sites, wildlife preserves, sporting events, gardens, and community activities, etc are held periodically throughout the year. At these events, the photographers are able to share their skills, communicate on specific topics, and learn new techniques in their pursuit to advance their style and artistic compositions.
The Club has organized a means to exhibit and sell the member’s photographic artwork at various locations around Brevard County.
Above all, the Camera Club of Brevard wants all its members, whether beginner or more advanced, to have fun and enjoy taking photographs.
